Mentoring program for international female STEM students

DE | EN

Welcome to she connects! Our mentoring program is aimed at international women studying for a Master’s degree who are new to Germany and are looking for support. Here you will find a strong community that will help you find your way both academically and in everyday life.

What is she connects?
She connects is based on a peer-to-peer mentoring approach. Experienced second-year female students become your mentors and share their valuable experiences with you. Together we will create a network that will support you not only during your studies, but also during your transition into the professional world.

Who can take part?

  • First-semester Master’s students: Are you new to Germany and looking for guidance? Then you’ve come to the right place!
  • Second-year mentors: If you are already in your second Master’s year, you can pass on your experiences and help others to settle in.
  • Alumni: After you graduate, you can act as a mentor for the next generation and pass on your knowledge.

How does the program work?

Phase 1: In the first year, you will receive support in organising your studies, tips on integrating in Germany and the opportunity to network with other students.
Phase 2: You take on the role of mentor and help new first-semester mentees. The focus is on career guidance and building your network.
Phase 3: As an alumni, you remain part of the network and support future female students with your knowledge and experience.

Why she connects?

  • For you as a mentee: Rapid integration, practical support and development of your career prospects.
  • For mentors: Deepen your own experience, develop leadership skills and expand your network.
  • For everyone: Together we create a strong, international network of committed women that promotes intercultural exchange.
